I would def get a CBC done if they aren't doing them already, moah your lucky. I am on Epogen/procrit for the same thing, shortness of breath.
I am om Infergen though, daily shots and ribo, so maybe it depends?
I had shortness of breath throughout treatment, but my blood results were OK. I found some days worse than others, for some strange reason, Tuesday (5 days after injection), was the worst breath day for me.
Two weeks off treatment now, and my breath is almost back. It will take a while to regain my cardio strength (given how little I have been able to exercise over last 48 weeks), but the phenomenon is clearly just a side effect, that if you are lucky like I was, will not require other medications.
Have you had a CBC done lately? I get that when my RBCs crash, it may be you are anemic.
I have had that sensation with a liver spasm before like a chill almost?
I asked GI he said there is a sort of membrane (forget the actual medical name for it) it sort of swells.
Another thing is may be your lungs, tx can sometimes affect them.
Your liver is on your right side, but I know after surgery I have gotten a gas bubble in my shoulder , a lot of drugs can cause that, and it is a gas bubble.
But really you need to go see cardio guy, men often feel pain in their left arm, before ehart attacks, (doubt that is it) But do get check out by a Doc.
Good luck
Deb
I feel like I'm having Liver spasms too. My symptoms are on my left side under my shoulder blade. I worked out at the YMCA 2 weeks ago and now I can't take deep breathes. I went to my doctor and he said it's back spasms and gave Flexarill which does not help the pain. I thought it was GAS but this has been going on for 4 days now. I called my DR back today but he's not in. I take Motrin 800mg for the pain. It helps enough for me to do my job, but i want the pain gone...
