I'm having similar problems. My concentration is terrible and I am very edgy. It shows at work. I can't think things through. I take anti-depressants which help with that sort of thing but still I'm having added anxiety because of the side effects. I'm kind of wondering myself how they say "most people's side effects are mild." The initial flu type symptoms didn't last but this really rung out, agitated, fatigued thing is taking over and doesn't seem to go away.
Hoping it gets better for me and you.
Mike
I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. Are you on Peg intron or Pegasus? The former is weight based. If you have lost weight after another week (after 24 weeks) you can ask your doctor if you can take one less riba capsule. Sounds like you are overdosing but you don't want to ruin your chances of clearing the virus, so wait until you have finished 24 weeks, that's only one more week. I lost 17 lbs. and talked the nurses into my taking one less riba capsules and it helped me finish tx.
Also, you can go to the health food store and get some Rescue Remedy by Bach Flower Remedies. It is preserved in brandy so put 4 drops in a very small glass of hot water and wait a couple minutes for the brandy to evaporate. Then sip it slowly. It helps a lot with anxiety, but our livers don't need the alcohol in the brandy. Good luck to you. I hope you feel better soon.
Hello, i am only on my second week of treatment, but have been sufffering from anxiety since i was diagnosed in may. I am currently on zoloft and take xanax as needed, usually one or 2 a day.
The riba is wiping me right out, i am really bummed i have no energy. make sure you drink lots of water and decaffaeinated green tea.
wish i were at 23 weeks :)
Hope this helps a little.
