Ok, here's the deal.. I have the same pain, and it can be severe. I also had...(past tense) Hep C with a similar viral load. QUIT taking the herbs, find a GOOD doc who handles this and get the Hep treatment. ASAP!!!!  Depending on the condition of your liver, you have two options. 24 or 48 weeks of some intense med treatment. Interpheron, Riboviran and Victrelis worked for me. But do your research. And get ready. You need people around you that understand what you will be going thru. It won't be fun. I never encountered the classic "flu like" symptoms, but it radically changed my personality during treatment. I was mean, and nasty, I hated taking all the pills and the shots once a week. You will be basically doing chemo treatment without the radiation. But after 48 weeks of hell, I am non detectable. Upper right quad pain continues. 10 mg of oxycodone helps, and bear in mind I had this for over 20 years before I found out. You can do it. Drink gallons of fluid to keep the toxics flushed out. DO NOT WAIT for treatment, and there is help out there because its expensive.

Are you okay? I am concerned. I hope by now if you are still in pain that you have contacted a Dr.

Pain is our body's signal to us that something is wrong.

My liver never hurt despite my almost dying from cirrhosis.
This could be other things like your gall bladder which can indeed burst, a very dangerous situation.
I agree with the others, get to the doctor asap.

The pain is sharp, continuous, when I,m at work.I work in at  a very busy restaurant.I just got off work,I'm a server that works 6,7 sometimes 8 hours straight without a break or a lunch.Right now it feels like my liver is going to burst or something. It is a .very stessful job.A year ago when they told me  I had Hep C,it was a big shock,I don't use drugs or needles. My viral load number was in the millions.I have been taking chinese herbs to help with the symtoms,an Acupunture,Herbology doctor gave me.Which seemed to help until about a week ago.I am geno type 1a.Could it be the stess and long hours at work doing this? Thanks!

How does it hurt?
What is the pain like?
Sharp, dull?
Continuous or intermittent?
Where is the pain exactly?

Please give us more information so we might be able to give you some direction and if it is liver disease related or something different.

Thanks!

Hector

Hi I think it would help others help you if you were to give more information.  Geno type, result of biopsy, etc
It is possible that this is not your liver hurting you but the sack around the liver as the liver has no nerves.  It could also be your gallbladder
There are hospitals that are required to help you as they receive assistance from the federal govt.  You could go to an ER and they could check you out.
