Hello JessieJames1973. I too have experienced dizziness only after I had stopped taking Chantix. It started about a week after I stopped. I am going on 4 months now. I was wondering if you ever got to the bottom of it, or if it stopped on its own. I am nervous that I am going to have to live with this the rest of my life.
I'm on 14 wk out of 24 I just started having dizzines. It doesn't last that long. I have had some nausea also. This tx is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL
Thank you so much, its 8 months now!
Jessie
Jesse, I have no idea why you're feeling dizzy, but just wanted to say CONGRATS on quitting smoking! That is one of the very hardest things to quit, so good for you!
Hope the dizziness and nausea go away soon.
hi
not on tx
i had it for about 4 months now sometimes iam ok , othertimes iam not, doctor cant work it out! its not vertigo, my haemoglubin is 12
What is your hemoglobin level - I was dizzy almost the entire time on tx but it was because of the anemia. When I'd turn my head in the car to make a turn it was like whoa.....slow down, I felt like I was very close to passing out.
I did faint a few times when my hemo first went down - it's pretty dangerous so be careful whatever it is.
lol
its good stuff, ha ha
i understand there have been several law suites
Is this for real?
If thie is considered not serious, something is ot of whack here>
Nonserious Side Effects
Side effects sometimes reported by people using Chantix include vomiting, gas, increased appetite, constipation, nausea, stomach upset, changes to how foods taste, headaches, difficulty sleeping, and strange, vivid or unusual dreams. None of these is cause for concern.
T be honest i did feel a very slight dizzy feeling just after i finished my TX ,but it was so mild it could have been cauesd by anything. My nurse says dizzness is not a common symptom or "withdrawl' from TX drugs
i think it may be the chantx too, been of them for 4 months though!
cigars yuk ! no not now i hate the smell even of cigs
Hi Jessie: I was only dizzy during tx. Everyone is so different it may very well be the chantix. Bye the way Congrats on stopping smoking. (I still smoke Cigars, yuk!)
Lynne
I thinking maybe yor having withdrawl symptom then from the CHANTIX.
Did you have dizzyness before tx, or only during tx, iam not on tx at the moment but hopefully will be soon, and was hoping it would go with the start of tx
thanks
Jessie

FDA warns about Pfizer anti-smoking drug By Kim Dixon, Fri Feb 1, 08
Pfizer Inc's anti-smoking drug Chantix appears increasingly likely to be linked to serious psychiatric behavior, including suicide, U.S. regulators said on Friday.
FDA officials said they have received nearly 500 reports of suicidal behavior and thinking, and 39 completed suicides. Most of these cases occurred in the United States.

I really suffered from dizziness almost all the way through and nausea later in tx. Not sure about the chantix though. Eye problems are also very common during tx. good that you got them checked. Sx come and go, so don't worry about the sudden onset, may be gone tomorrow.
Good Luck - Lynne
