I had the exact same sx. My Gastro put me on Elavil, Ambian, and for the panic attacks Xanax.
It didn’t take much to set off the attacks. Before the Xanax it could take hours for me to calm down. Once 2-minutes of watching Super Nanny was all it took to set it off.
As for the psychosis, & depression, I felt like I was stuck somewhere between the Living and the Dead. Darkness seemed to control my thoughts and the thought of death no longer bothered me because death had become just as much apart of me as life. I never told my Nurse everything because if they knew the truth, they would stop tx. I strongly advice you to tell them everything and get some help. A lot of people suggest Yoga, Acupuncture, etc. What you are going through is chemically induced and should be fought back with chemicals (my opinion).
Sorry treatment didn't work for you. Depression, panic attacks and thoughts of suicide can be associated with the treatment drugs. Some here are helped by anti-depressant medications and/or talk therapy. You should report your feelings to your doctor right away and get some help. There is light at the end of the tunnel but we often need help to get there. Hope you feel better soon.

I had terrible issues with grinding and gnashing with my teeth and I have no idea which tx drug caused that or what mechanism of the drug would cause that to happen - it drove me absolutely nuts though. I also got this weird thing where I would be sweating but cold at the same time, or vice versa. I thought that was happening because I would sometimes be too sick to take the MSContin I was prescribed and I thought my body was initiating some type of physical withdrawal, but I do that all the time now (forget to take the MSContin) and that never happens, so it must have been the treatment drugs.
My name is jeff.iwason interferon for 5 months when they told me that the meds were nolonger working. i am now displaying signs of pychosis, depression and panic attackes, has this happeneed to anyone else and if so how did you deal with it .isome times feel putting a gun to my head it feels to bad to deal with.
My teeth felt tight and clenched frequently during treatment. Not sure if I'd "tire them out" with carrots as I believe you are supposed to relax your jaw with TMJ, which you may temporarily have. Still, you might try it once to see if it works, but it could make it worse. Teeth/jaw went back to normal when I stopped treating.
thanks all for all the advise. i"ll try that and hopefully helps, i usually do eat raw carrots with some blue cheese dressing, maybe i need to do it more often. Thanks Tony
For the teeth grinding.....eat something hard like raw carrots at bedtime. It tires out your jaw and you won't grind your teeth.
Good luck, you are way ahead of me. am starting the 19th.

That is the name of the game with peg. You never know when the sx are going to have their way with you. Don't expect them on the same day - same time. I'll be sitting at work feeling OK and 30 min later fever and aches. No reason - just shows up. I've leveled out over the last month but still get the fever every now and then. I'm better prepared when this happens now so it doesn't bother me as much. It's like the 12 step program "God, give me the strength to accept the things I cannot change".
Teeth grinding - can't help you there.
