I recall my throat was sore in the area of my Adam's Apple during the early months of my treatment. Not a typical sore throat. And I was always having to clear my throat.
If you had low white blood cells and absolute neutrolphils a soar throat could be serious while on treatment. I suppose it could be a reaction to your first injection also, Since you only started 3 days ago it is unlkely that this is the problem.
You might have picked up an infection from someone having nothing to do with treatment.
Hope you feel better soon,
Dave
I should also add that the throat issue that I had would come on about Monday and Tuesday of each week and my shot was on Friday. I always associated it with my shot because it would show up like clockwork. I didn't have it all through treatment but during the first month or so for sure.
That is very true Meakea - My sore throat is and cough worse on those days although it never goes away
wow thanks, feel better knowing it happens often.yes mine is in the area of my adams apple ,and yes clearing throat repeatedly.
I too had a sore throat. Mine came and went but I tended to have it more often than not. I noticed it seemed to coincide with shortly after shot night.
I keep a humidifier on. It helps that my throat doesn't get dry. Also I do lozenges. Right now I am having a litle pain in my nostrils. I have to watch that closely. Last time on Tx, I got an infection in my nose that hurt WORSE that anything else in Tx. There was absolutely nothing that would ease the pain for several days. Ugh. This time I would get help sooner, rather than later.
I too have a sore throat off and on. comes and goes two or three days a week. Be sure you report it to your nurse so anything unusual can be caught early. Tina
