So good to read your update. Thanks for keeping us posted. I love that your life is so full and that HCV is on the back burner for now. That's been our strategy while waiting to treat and it has served us well so far.
Stay healthy, stay happy and stay active!!!
All the best,
Isobella
Good idea on the weather! I'm ready to leave!
Hey Annie. Nice to see you pop in. I'm still trying to get to MD. Been too long. But I'm going to let the weather warm a bit.
Obviously I do still have brain fog! I just noticed I put 3 MONTHS on 80/20 insurance! That should be years! I don't think any companies offer the quarterly option on health insurance! Lol!
@Kathy Information Systems, same as BS. I am doing a combined program
@Pam I accredit zumba to helping keep the weight off. Salsa is also excellent. I love food and eat whatever the hell I want because I'm burning so many calories. I do eat a fair amount of healthy food, not eating cheeseburgers all the time. Needed to clarify that!
It's great to read you got your life back after tx and good luck with the Master's! Wish I could have kept the weight off post tx, but food just tasted too darn good again and no willpower. I see you're a zumba enthusiast. I wish there was a zumba class closer to me, it looks like a lot of fun and a great workout. For now, YouTube will have to suffice....
Stay healthy, Pam
Wow, seems that you have a very full and exciting life going on right now! What are you getting your masters in?
Glad to hear life is really good for you.
Kathy
@Mary I was UND only during tx and only after intrducing a PI to the mix. I did a study and got the option to crossover at week 16 from SOC. I was already having pretty bad sides so it was all I could do to complete the 12 weeks of the study drug with a 2 week stop of all meds due to anemia and neutropenia. They then dose reduced my Peg Intron to the lowest number possible in the remaining time I was in the program. I took myself off at the end of the study drug part of the trial for a total of 28 weeks. I am a geno 1A and my last biopsy was 1/1 so I could have chosen to wait. I am definitely not depressed, actually happier than I have been in a long time.
@nygirl Yes, I have been lurking and intermittently posting the past couple days. Probably as a result of knowing the PCR results were on the way. I have been getting out to see a lot of live music with some new found old friends (Thanks Facebook!). It was our 30 yr. reunion last year and we have a core group that gets together pretty regularly. The brain fog is not nearly as bad as it was on tx but I do notice sometimes it's hard to hold my concentration and I'm at a loss for words at times. I knew you would still be really active on here! Are you familiar with Kix (band)( by any chance? They are local to Maryland but went national back in the 80s with a couple songs. They are still around and also play as Funny Money minus one member. I go see them as often as possible after seeing them New Years Eve. Steve hasn't changed since the 80s!
Hey you how great to see you post!
It sounds like you are doing pretty well.........with enough energy to finish off your Masters I guess brain fog isn't your biggest problem! :D
SO happy to see you!

So Annie,
were you ever undetected? what is your genotype? what treatment did you do? for how long? what are you stats for disease progression?
When did you start treatment?
your attitude sounds very healthy,
