Anybody here w/Hep C have experience using allergy prescription nasal sprays?

Hi there.  I was wondering if any of you on the site who have Hep C, who have ever had experience with using a prescription allergy medicine that is a nasal spray?  I had taken Flonase in the past, never really cared for the backwash it has.  But, I've been seeing an allergist because my allergies have really bothered me this year.  He prescribed a medicine that is a nasal spray called Astelin.  I hope I don't seem 'weird' asking his but have any of you been on one of these type of nasal sprays while having Hep C?  If so, did you feel worse using the spray?  I've been on it two days and it's making the area of my liver hurt and also in between my shoulder blades.  Also, has the nasty backwash, but that goes with these kind of nasal sprays.  It seems like it makes me a little nauseous as well and very sleepy.  He prescribed me to only do two sprays at night, none during the day.., but I'm feeling worse on it than off.  I searched online to see if there's any data on the liver and this drug, but it's sketchy at best.  So, I'm turning to you all to see if anybody else has feedback.  Susan400    PS:  For newbies, I've done over 10 treatments, not cleared, not currently treating, but may be treating in the near future in a couple of months w/new oral drug + SOC

I have taken Astelin before being cured of hepatitis C.   Astelin doesn't produce serious side effects like you are claiming.   Your symptoms maybe connected to hepatitis C but very much doubt it's connect to Astelin and Hepatitis C.   Regardless,   I can tell you that I experience nothing like what you are suggesting while taking Astelin.

Did you contact your provider to inform about the Astelin side effects? Will be curious about what was said.

I was just thinking about that in general as it is spring pollen season.  I am treating 3wk of 12 GT2 Sov/Rbv.  Most of the only have mild symptoms that saline nasal sprays usually take care of it.  But sometimes it may not work good enough.  I am going to ask treatment provider for a recommendation and  about Nasacort OTC.
