Just checking in from Orlando.. Vacation

Well so far vacation has been relaxing.  The garden tub is wonderful.  

We went to Cypress Gardens today.  I had to keep resting, and now I know why.. I got a call on Mikes cell phone just after getting back to the condo.   I guess they gave up trying to reach me on my home number and called the emergency number listed on my records.  I went yesterday for my labs, and my HGB is 8.2, the nurse did not realize the dr gave me script for my Procrit now, and was concerned they had not seen me in 3 wks, and my HGB dropping so low, last week it was  9.9, back up from 9.3, so I went ahead and did my procrit shot today, rather than tomorrow.  Now I am just resting.  Haven't been feeling like eating much.  I try, but can only get a little down and I am done.  Then Hungry later..   Laying here on the bed, watching American Idol, and Sanjaya.. what a mess...

Well I hope everyone is doing fine.  I have not had a chance to read any posts since leaving home, as in the room there is only dial up and takes to long to load anything.  If you go in the club house though, there is wireless internet, but they charge like $5 for 30 mins.. What a rip off.  

Well will try to read some later or tomorrow, depending on how I am feeling, may try some shopping tomorrow.

I live about an hour from here too.. LOL  I live in Brandon, just outside of Tampa.   We have a time share here , that we trade off from time to time, but its nice to get away to someplace close once in awhile, especially being on treatment, don't think I could handle a long trip somewhere, or all the added stress.  

Its been a nice week so far..  cept for the rain on sunday past.hb

Yes I do test my own B/S daily..  so far its dropped pretty low like in the 50's a couple of times, but would just eat a gloucose tablet.    Well up early again, cannot sleep long in these beds, miss my bed.     I talked to my Dad a few times, checking on the dogs.    The are fine, don't think they even know we are gone, because he was there when we left.

Did you see my question about the 3-1 headbands? You probaly hate headbands, but they looked really cute on me! (just kidding of course) I had to have like 12 people help me find a way to look passable and hide the fact that I need a haircut and color soon. They're stretchable cloth that you can scrunch or open depending on what you're trying to hide!

I'm so happy you are taking a well deserved rest. Rest as in no work, no housework, no hemoglobin! Good think you had the procrit with you. You were back at work with your hgb dropping like that? My, my, I'm constantly amazed at others strength. Do you do your own b/s tests? I worry about that with the weight you're dropping, and you not eating. I'm a professional worrier.
