Color Boots for a wedding!!!!!
I have a daughter thats getting married in May-Strictly an outside country setting wedding.She wants to wear Cowboy boots with her wedding dress(seen lots of pics of girls duin this its really different and pretty).We are arguing about the color boots she should wear.I say white-She says "NO momI wasnt born in the 60's." I told her Id run some polls from here and facebook and shed wear the winner....help me out Cyber friends-I say white should be appropriate.
Err...It depends on the boots...If they are in the Ropers, Frye or Tony Lama range then white (or bone) is OK. It's not like she'll wear them again (or very often). But if we are talking Boots like Lucchese or Old Gringo I would support her color choice. There is some incredible craftsmanship out there and the color (no matter what she decides) will flatter her dress & the entire ensemble.

I say what ever she wants. Life is to short to argue about the color of boots. I hope she has a blessed Wedding day and that her marriage last longer than a pair of cowboy boot.
Ok we thought about that too.Yeah shell always be able to wear them again(whether it be for cleaning her horse stall,or muddin or just kick around boots)But she says now if she finds a white boot that she likes ,she can always have them dyed.Whatever she decides -its all good!!!!Cant wait to see the looks on faces when the pigs race-a bride and a groom LOL !!!!!Its definatly gonna be a show stopper,Got her dress today and now Ive gotta go wait in the free cheeze and milk line for weeks !!!!!

But what I'd say is get something you can wear again, I just dont see her ever wearing white cowboy boots out at a later date and it's not like a dress you are going to put in storage the tan could be worn again.

Yeah and changing the locks don't seem to help, i did find that anytime your talking to them telling them how much work around here that needs to be done seems to work wonders...:)

This is her special day. Let her make her own choice. It won't matter in the long run either way, but if you dig in those spurs too deep, you might regret it. Have fun and enjoy the wedding. And congrats.

Should add for what its worth i also agree with you daughter, white boots are so yesterday.......
That's a hard one. I would go with which ever one complemented the dress and her skin tone.
