Well first off..... that is quite a dress. : )
Where was I? Oh yeah. I have that It's a Beautiful Day album., maybe even a backup.
It was interesting looking at the footage of the riots. It made me recall that Chrissy Hynde was at the Kent state shootings and was acquainted with one of those shot, according to wikipedia. Great and scary footage and also reminiscent of the occupy footage we have also seen in recent past.
I can't tell if the thread is about the voices, the appearance, or whether it's rock, or the writing, or the spectacle of performing in concert..... or the whole package.
I'd kind of forgotten some of the great songs, just how good they were.
By the way, the link that eureka posted is GREAT!

Agree with Willy and eureka. Took my daughter to a Pretenders concert in Austin a few years ago. Not a vegetarian myself, but Chrissie is a walking/rocking advertisement for the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle.
Two more vids of an underappreciated female vocalist/percussionist, the late Patti Santos. Same song different edits. The shorter clip contains commentary by Bill Graham concerning the end of the Flower Power movement. The longer is the full audio of the song with some fill to cover the missing vid footage.

If we're talking music, Chrissie makes Dale look like a pretender ... :)
Missing Persons was notable for a year or two, but Hynde & Company always play relevant music and do it well. This one I could listen to all day long:

suezeeque: Joan Jett might give Chrissie a run for her money, but I'd still vote Hynde :)
Chrissy Hynde does it then and now for me. : )
Don't get me wrong.... : )
