My son's Jack Russell Terrier has scatching problems, he takes her for cortizone shots every few months and she will stop until she needs one again....
Thanks for the sage and humorous advice as I'm about to shoot the beast. All night long I hear him body slamming the wood floors as he's scratching.
geterdone, I have noticed riba pill shortage and he seems to be terrorizing the cats more than usual :)
Love ya'll,

PUPPY BREATH!!! Oh I am jealous. I even babysat my bro's pup when she broke her little leg. She is an ornery thing, into everything, but the puppybreath was better than the smell of coffee.
Kittyface, I forgot the flea allergies. My old girl did not have fleas on her but one bite really got her itching. The only thing that helped her was a trip to the vet for a shot of cortizone and a series of pred
Okay, this one is funny, tho sorry for your dog.
On a serious note, I had wondered when the 9 pups were born (ON shot night, ugh!) and they got bigger, puppy breath, licking ....if it was bad to let them lick my arm, skin, fingers as in getting toxins from it? Silly, but still wondered and wouldn't let them.
Dog been licking you,lol?
Also, some are allergic to flea's, one flea will make them go crazy, especially older dogs.
Advantage for him, a valium for you???

Many people use gold bond powder on their dogs, not sure about a creme. I really don't know if it is just shedding or the early season but my girl is scratching like crazy
But if he is an outside pet try Brews Yeast, comes in tablets and can get it at the pet store for flees.

Has he gone into any rages yet? If not he is handling it pretty well so far but count the pills.

Could he have fleas and maybe just needs a dose of Advantage.
the vet advised me to give my dog one liquid benadryl capsule every day in his dog foot. Doggies just like us have horrible allergies...my poor guy was biting his feet so bad they were bleeding and nothing could make him stop. Once I gave him the pills....after like two days it helped a LOT.
No no no no no -- no human meds on critters....
Remember - they lick themselves --- so they ingest stuff.
Might be bad... Really bad.
Contact the vet.
uhmm no.... i sit due to dryness or critters? I give my cat fish oil on his food, he has dry skin also. Helps
