I see the article but during the time she was treating I read she had to stop due to the kidney transplant. This one article below says she is still treating with one pill a day - it was in October of 2015.

I read "a lot" of articles that had mixed messages. So, I don't know, hopefully she did. Still sad that she is gone.
Before Natalie Cole had a kidney transplant she was cured of hepatitis C. She did have a difficult time with treatment and referenced the treatment as chemotherapy. She did talk about her treatment in interviews and did state she was free of Hepatitis C. She was cured.

As of October 2015 she had not been cured of Hep C. She never completed the Riba/Interferon treatment - she just couldn't take it. If she did get cured, it would have been recent, after October, and I don't know what medication she was on.
She sure was a great singer. RIP Natalie.
Natalie Cole was treated and cured of Hepatitis C. She called the therapy chemotherapy. Yes she had a very hard time because of treatment with interferon. Sad about her death. She did come out publicly and told people about her experience with Hepatitis C and her treatment cure.
I have experience chemotherapy for cancer. Personally,
I think Hepatitis C treatment with interferon was worse.
But I was a lot younger. Treating for every thing gets harder as we age. That why treating hepatitis C early is so important.
I remember her article from People magazine where she said she had to stop the tx early. I don't think she every got rid of it. She also had a kidney transplant but I don't remember the time line now. It was back in 2008 when she did the interview with People. I am sad to hear she died.
Very sad indeed. She will be missed
I found an article on her on Lifescript from October 4th of last year titled "How Natalie Cole Copes with Chronic Hepatitis C', and it sounds like she treated, but not sure if it was successful. She said she did interferon, and then later took 1 pill a day. The title implied she still had it--- chronic.
Trying to find out if she was ever treated and cured or never had the chance. Anyone know?
