Yes I hate the issue with clothes, every morning I must change my clothes 3 times.  Mike laughs at me.   I will see him again on weds for the proceedure.  I am sure he will talk about those then, or may make me wait to go in and see him after the proceedure.

I still have no appetite.  I lost 35 lbs POST tx. Am in a size 4.  I like it but hate the clothes falling off!  I am hoping that I don't gain weight, being the weight I was at 20 seems nice. Sure it's not healthy when I don't feel like eating much.  I do the Ensure if I can't eat and I suppose that is better than nothing.

Your abs. Neutrofils look a bit low. has your Dr. mentioned anything about them?  Your alt, ast look great and mine were like that on tx. I ended up getting more PCR's than the Dr. wanted. I would call his nurse and tell her I needed a lab slip. She sent them. What do they care, they don't pay for them!!

Well then as far as PCR then I am fine.. I just did shot 39 last night, and I had a PCR at week 12 and 24.. or close to it.   both were UND ,  I am Genotype 1a.  With all the recent relapses I have read about, I guess I am just starting to get anxious.  Then when I saw the doctor last week, he was all of a sudden concerned over the weight loss.  He told me he took home the file and went thru all the labs and days I came to see him, says a majority of the weight loss has been since May, so he is trying to figure out what is going on.   I have told him all along that I have no appetite.   If I cannot eat when stomach growls, then the urge passes and I cannot force myself to eat, or I get sick,     I welcome the weight loss for sure.  But I have to do something about this skin.   I refuse to gain the weight back, but I am sure some will come after tx ends.    I appreciate the information above and anything else you can find..

PCR Tests for SOC are 12, 24, 48, 72 weeks. This info should be on the Pegasys or PEGintron websites. The 24 week test is sometimes ommitted. A 4 week PCR test should be included.
These determine response or lack there of.
CBCs should be done weekly for the first month then monthly, probably OK to have longer gaps later on in Tx.
The above are minimums and more PCRs early on are beneficial.
I'll see if i can find Roche/Scherings recommendations.

Wyntre - well I guess its ok to have the colonscopy.  The GI is who ordered it, and he is my treatment doctor.      I will make my decision I guess by tuesday or so If I am going to take time off.

Cocksparrow - Thanks for clarifing that those numbers look good.  I will have to talk the doctor into another PCR test.    I wish I had a list of tests and wk #'s that those test SHOULD be run.  I would take it to him.

DP - does it mean anything towards my UND,   does that mean there is HepC still active, with teh Alt & Ast levels,   are those levels good ?  and what is Giant Platelets ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your ALT/AST levels are very good. While you cant really use them as a guide for SVR they are nevertheless a good sign. In the early monotherapy days ALT levels were what was used to determine response. This along with UND at 12 & 24 weeks is good sign.

Giant/Large plateletes mean you have high numbers of newly created ones, younger platelets are larger than older ones.

Heres a link Ladybug posted a while back that explains the CBC test and what they mean

"Mayb i should take a few weeks off on leave.....what do you think?"

DUHHHHHHHH!  i think i don't know how the heck you managed to work this long!  You must be superwoman's cousin!

Onlt 8 more weeks left for you, right, but instead of pushing yourself and your body through the homestretch I'd be far more inclined to take it as easy as possible, if you can afford it, that it.

All that weight loss . . . .siunds like both a blessing and a curse . . . just like TX, i guess.

I think if I were in your shoes I'd pay for my own pCR if the insurance wouldn't cover it . . . i mean, just to be on the safe side and confrim your continuing UND status.

but then again I seem to be getting more paranoid as time goes on . . .

I've read about other people on forum doing just that - i don't think it's all that expensive . . .

Are you sure it's OK to have a colonoscopy while on TX?  My PCP wants me to have one but I thought invasive procedures, even mild ones, should be postponed.  let me know.

The rash on my back seems to have gone away.... thank goodness for that.   NO when I asked for another PCR, he told me 6 mos post treatment.. but I am going to talk to him at the Hospital on Weds when they do the Colonoscopy.    He is concerned over my weight loss and ran all those tests.    I have lost 92 lbs now...  I havent been this little in ages it seems,, If I had the excess skin cut off it would take me down to about 120.   I am about to be in size 8.. 10 is baggy on me, and I was in size 22.   So that is a big jump and majority of weight loss has been since going back to work.  so maybe I should take a few wks off on leave......I dunno.  what do you think ?   But I guess everything besides the normal sides after shot.. fever, can't sleep..  etc.  and sometimes for a few days.   And the severe anemia,  it will take me a few wks to get that missing procrit in me.  I was overdue by 14 days by the time I got my procrit.   So last HGB was still.. 9.1.  So I am pretty tired all the time.     Other than that.. the cracking is healing up on my fingers.  I have come to conclusion that was from the steroid cream.  one of the sx of steriod is it thins the skin.  so maybe that is what happened.  I should have used gloves putting it on my back on the rash.

Other than feeling like crapola all week, I am still hanging in there.. Just need some clothes that fit.. LOL   I keep getting pants and stuff from my step daughter, who is preg now and cannot wear them anyway..   LOL  But even those are 2 big now.. so time to hit up goodwill..   especially if my sizes are gonna continue to drop.. LOL  I bought 2 pair of new pants about a month ago.. now I cannot keep them up.. LOL  I should have kept the tags I guesss..   Oh well.  We were on vacation last week and did alot around the house, and took junk to the dump and painted, and it goes on, up to the tree in the front yard falling, because the neighbor had a tree removed, that they did not rope, and each branch/log that hit the ground, stress cracked our tree..  Until it split in 2 the next day, while we were painting..   So tomorrow we get to cut it up and haul it to the dump..And take down the other half, and any other branches on the back tree that need it.    So another busy weekend.  Sunday Mike will go to the bucs game, and I will relax in bed and watch movies on Sunday.. then I start my liquid diet for 2 days before the proceedure on Weds. fun fun..  Hope you are feeling ok.

Don't know about the numbers, dp, but why didn't they do another pcr?

Aren't you at week 39?

That would mean you haven't checked VL in almost 4 months.

i dunno . guess i'm paranoid, but i still have PCR done every month even though I am UND.  Just had blood drawn today, as a matter of fact.

how's everything else?
