Just wanted to say once again how much I appreciate everyones support. I realize my surgery etc., is totally off the topic of HCV, but I guess I have gotten use to all of your support over the last few years while dragon fighting that it just felt natural for me for me to post here.
So a big thanks and huge hugs to you all.
Think I managed to walk about a mile yesterday using my crutches (docs orders for the first 4 weeks--walker or crutches only)
not bad, for only being 12 days post surgery. I can see it will be a long road back to 100% recovery--but my optimism is and will remain high!!
Thanks, Kenny
I also wanted to say , " Good Luck" to a speedy recovery. T.
Ive been working alot and trying to catch up on the 55 plus weeks I lost being on tx. I just logged on here and saw your post.
I wish you a speedy recovery- Glad the surgery is over and your on your way back to health.
Take good care.

Awesome!
I use to work in rehab, physical therapy, with a lot of post hip replacement patients. I had to Google hip resurfacing, because I wasn't familar with the procedure.
Since it's typically done on "young" patients, (younger than 60) it isn't something that I encountered in the geriatric setting.
Crutches for gait training! That's another indicator of your "youth"! They're a lot harder to use than a walker.
Good Luck, I'm sporadic about getting on here, but glad I was able to read about your surgery and recovery.

Great news! I wish you the best of luck.
Get well and do it soon.
