It's at Bacara. Beautiful spot for a conference that's for sure, but it was stolen from it's rightful owners.
They built it on sacred Indian burial grounds even though a tremendous fight against it was waged. This place was sort of the Mecca of burial grounds too, really sad that fight was lost.
They dug up the bodies and moved them.
I also heard that Bacara was built by crooked contractors and is crumbling.
I got one but I can't go. Sounds as if it will be good. Are you going?
That happened alot to Indians. When people complain of the US I tell them they are more than happy to leave. I am 1/4 Cherokee. We always talk about the trail of tears.
wow i never knew that about the indians, i also have 1/4 in me 2..sad what happened but they are doing well in someplaces with the gambling scene...on the news forget where...
