Is this brain fog?

I have experienced a few things here lately that have left me wondering, is that the brain that everyone talks about or am I just being forgetful?  Yesterday at the gym, the front desk clerk signed me in and I just stood there looking at her after she gave me my keys back.  After a few moments she said, can I help you with something else?  I said, yea I need to be signed in.  She said, um....I already did that for you just a few minutes ago.  I totally didn't remember seeing her do that and I was just standing there without any other distractions.  I couldn't explain why I totally spaced out.  Also, my husband took a picture today on our camera and asked if I could include it on our christmas card I was creating on the internet.  I just looked at him and said...well, I don't know how I would get that picture on my computer.  He just stared at me and said, well....you would download it like you have a thousand other times.  For some reason, that just did not come to my mind.  I have no idea if I'm just being forgetful as others are without being on treatment or is this similar to the brain fog that others have mentioned?  What are your thoughts?

Yes in deed, brain fog. Didn't have brain fog too bad, but I still have some issues post tx. I used sticky notes constantly. My computer screen at work was loaded with them. As I would do whatever it was I had to remember, I would recycle the note to help me remember I had already done it.

Simple tasks are not so simple while on tx.  Along with the memory issues, I had a hard time processing information quickly.  I tried to avoid discussions at work that involved complicated issues, since it was obvious to me it was difficult to completely engage.  Some days are worse than others.  It does go away after tx, so don't worry.

That sign-in story is classic in my case. When it comes to some things I have no short-term memory recall whatsoever. Some of it could be due to being preoccupied but it is little things: having the baking powder out and not remembering if I added it yet, taking my Riba and having no idea whatsoever if I took it yet; overfeeding my dogs and the list goes on.

Yup brain fog.
Often I just had to explain to people that I was on meds that affected my emotions and thinking.

Sounds like the fog to me.I had some real trouble with brain fog. The good thing for me was that I knew it  was brain fog. For me it came and went all during my tx, and took a while to go after tx. I had to set alarms and write myself notes to stay on my pill schedule, and get my work done. It is very frustrating and difficult to explain to people that have never experienced it. It will pass!! Don't freak out too badly as it is a normal part of tx. Your husband will learn to recognize what's happening, and be able to help you along. There have been many threads here regarding the fog, and lots of helpful suggestions. I had my wife read these posts as I would find them and it helped her to understand as I couldn't really explain it myself. This forum helped my wife almost as much as it did me.

I had to keep my pills layed out and seperated for everyday, 5 min after taking them I couldn't remember if I took them or not, I would also forget what I was doing right in the middle of the task, seemed like I was always looking for something I just had.

It does get much better after tx is over, it took a couple of weeks for my head to clear up but now I am at least as good as before tx if not better.

Hang in there RN, you are doing great.
