Just checking in with update status for many who are wondering bout me!!!

After 6 months  of tx for cancer,I am  still around!!!  Its been a long hard road for me.I am finally getting my hair back and food are starting to taste better-not like I expected but will get better .I lost 40 lbs during this ordeal. My Dr doesnt want me to lose any more weight(143 now)I told her that it was hard for e to keep food down.I walked out of her office with a script for medical marijuana!!!!I know it-shocked me to death!!!!I didnt think that they used medical marijuana her in Ga.You dont smoke it-it comes in a pill called marinol!!!!!I have a friend who is fighting breast cancer and she smokes it-she said it helps with her syptoms!!!!I took 2 tokes of of hers one day and boy oh boy!!!!!Not for me!!I dont see what I ever saw in that stuff years ago!!!!!
Anyway my scans are looking good so far. They did find another spot on my hip in which they did 10 more rounds of radiation.I really trust my drs to do the right thing.
I hope all of you are getting the SVR that you so deserve.I havent been keeping up with the forums.Maybe Soon I can try to beat the next demon in my life!! Take care     Cindy

Cindy! Glad to here you are fighting and winning against your cancer. YES! Congrats on the hair and appetite! You are coming back strong! YEAH!

ChemoSabe, next time someone posts and compares hepatitis C treatment to chemo and I tell them they are FOS (Full OF Stool)... you are the "go to gal". The voice of authority. I'm counting on you to give them a "reality check". You have a baseball bat, right? haha
(I have only had some locoregional transarterial infusion chemotherapy in my liver which was enough, thank you.  And cancer excision-cutting out cancer tumors from inside my foot).
Chemo- Sux big time. What suxs worse is cancer.

Keep up the good work!!! I am glad you have some good doctors and medical staff helping you get through this.

So glad to hear that you're feeling better. Though I don't "know" you, I've read some of your posts and while I was on tx I felt like what I was dealing with was peanuts compared to your battle against cancer...
I send you all the best feelings and wish you good health and recovery.
It is so uplifting to read all the posts here now a days...all the SVR's and UND's...just wonderfull...happy tears for all of us. Especially for you.

Hugs from Norway

eyes -----  so very glad you are up and at it and so full of spunk.  It has been a long haul for sure adn you have shown remarkable courage.  You say the cancer metastisized to your bone (hip)???  Yuk.  I am sure your doctors will watch this closely.  the medical pot sounds like a life saver to me.

Hector is right  -- our puny little 48 week (or less) treatment pales in light of what you have gone through..

My very best

This is AWESOME news!  I came across your story because a new member "bumped" your "goodbye" thread from March in the HepC Community.  I checked your profile page, and was glad to see you're still around and kicking some cancer patootie!  Best wishes, and keep fighting!

You sound like I used to when people said I was strong, I'd reply, " I only put one foot in front of the other."

Now, I know the truth. I AM strong, and so are YOU !!!
