The Hepatitis C Advisory Council bill, S. 6142, in the NY Senate, bill 8631 in the NY Assembly, if passed will enable an advisory council to be formed. This council will be comprised of first and foremost patients, community based organizations, and health care providers. The passing of this bill has the potential to accomplish something that has never been achieved prior, STATEWIDE resources for those infected with HCV in New York.

Thanks 4c I won't miss this!

I just heard on the news this morning that an anestheseologist in NYC has a whole cluster of patients that are HCV pos...and now ALL of the 5000 patients from that time period have to be tested, asap.

People just don't get how easy and how many ways you can get this.

They didn't get transfused...just anesthesia.  But of course...that is not on the list of ways to get it...

So there you go, just why people are so ignorant.
