Needle Caps Removal and re capping

I was wondering if a device to help remove the needle cap and a device to put the needle cap back on would be something which people would be interested in.

The removing of the cap would involve a 2 handed operation but you would use a tool which clamps the cap allowing you to pull the syringe and needle away. Also there would be a feature with this same tool which would then hold the cap for you to allow you to re-apply the  cap using only 1 hand.

I have designed something which does this and was wondering if it's worth me taking it past the design stages.

But how does the tool stay clean?  Your still touching it.  How about just send them a bunch of disposable gloves instead.   I guess if you wanted your own personal sharps container opener.

That may depend on which country one lives in.

Perhaps I'm missing something but why do we need needle precautions.
I thought the dreaded Interferon took its final bow!

I think this why we have universal precautions and gloves.   How are you going to keep the tool clean if everyone fails to where gloves?  Gloves open the container, put caps back on and close the lid.   Your creating an additional step that's not need when gloves are used.
