Prednisone, chest pains, AIH = E.R.
Wow!!! I know ya'll are Hep C pts, but Meki said I get to be the resident AIH person. lol After having posted/read/cried/laughed with all of you I feel like you are my support group. I hope that is ok - If not - tough LOL.
Had chest pains starting last night, sharp ones in middle of sternum and like a lot people chalked it up to "gas". It was still there this a.m. -:( Finally about 11 am gave in and called Dr. - He said get toE.R. ugh! Ok - so I go to ER and they poke (with needles) and prod and exray and gave me 3! nytro before things started to settle down.
Explaination was - Reaction to Prednisone (am on 40mg), and probably from having biopsy on poylops at time of Endoscopy the first of the month, causing chest irritation. No problem w/heart showed up. A lot of 'light headedness" went along with this.
OK, Dr. - how am I supposed to tell the difference 'tween a heart attack and med. reaction??? "you come in here" !!!!!!!!!! YUK
Oh yeah, the "swelling" has started, too. My ankles and feet were quite swollen this a.m. which I was not expecting, tho' I am aware of the "moon face" bit. (joy joy). Maybe going to work from the bottom up, huh? lol. I guess the good Lord tho't I was getting too vain about my new size (from a 16 down to a 7/8!!!) so is going to deflate me a bit. Oh!! no that is INflate, huh.!!
