Resveratrol

Is anyone taking this?  A couple years back I read articles of how the studies were yielding bad results for the liver.  Recently, I've read that is not the case since the earlier results were from studies using extreme amounts.  Most of what I can find looks good.  Supposedly, key role in preventing eye disease, it is believed to cause desirable genetic and biochemical effects at the cell level, and as an anti-aging drug.  I've read where people are having better weight control, not because it suppresses appetite but because it increases stamina.  just wondered if anyone else have looked into this.

I'm so protective of my liver these days.

Izzy - funny you said you don't take any pills post-tx.  Because I feel the same way.  After tx I just didn't want to have to take anything.  I do take Calcium and Fish Oil but not all the time which is the way I like it.

Before tx, I was taking it.  I followed the Readers Digest Best Remedies suggestions for hepatitis and took 50-100 mg daily.  It also suggested fish oil, NAC, Vitamin K, L-carnitine, and SAMe.

Post tx, I don;t take any pills...but Resveratrol will be one of the first when I do start back on vitamins.

I also read to be careful of the manufacturer that all are not created equal.  Botiva has a good name with the independent labs.  What brand do you take?
