family rage and just rage. i doubled my effexor and i was still impatient but i would have been quite dangerous without. i told doc he may need to amputate middle finger before tx to keep me on the road in my neighborhood where many folks carry guns. i say go to doc now. good luck. babs
If you have road rage yes by almeans stay out of cars ( drive a cement truck ) yes just as every one has said get some ad meds they can only get worst!!
If you are experiencing Road Rage stay out of cars. If you are experiencing Riba Rage stay out of mass transportation.
Go to the doctors now. If you are experiencing a side like that that quickly I can't imagine what you are going to be like at 4 months when you serum levels are really high.
A good AD can make all the difference (well at least it can help slow it down)I was a maniac on treatment and it's a good thing I didn't own a gun, I mean that literally and I was on an AD!
I went to a private hell on pegisis treatment, i ended up being on so many different pills to control the side effects on my brain i was a zombie and did not move for 4 months, so yeah i think a wee bit of road rage is ok. What was worst was they way my pms reacted to it......
Thanks for your help. I will be seeing my doctor Monday and will definitely ask for some medical help for this dangerous side effect. I am, of course, experiencing other annoying side effects, but this one is the most dangerous for me, I think.
Treatment messed with my head BIG TIME, talk to you Doc and get some AD's going the faster the better. I used Zoloft 50 mgs it helped me bite my tongue more than once !
Hi Cathy, welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing that not-so-nice side effect. My husband was always short on patience and prone to road rage even before starting treatment, and his doctors offered him the option of pre-dosing with an anti-depressant, which he did (he's on Lexapro). Though it's not the right approach for everyone, I feel it was a good decision for my husband, and it has helped him a great deal.
There are plenty of folks who have experienced 'Riba rage', but you might get more responses going to the Hepatitis C community (link below), where there is more discussion about the health and medical concerns related to treatment, as opposed to this forum, which is geared more towards 'social' and 'non-medical' discussions among heppers. Good luck, and drive carefully! ~eureka
