Hi, Is sam e OK to take and how much?  I just started treatment 11/2/07.  I was taking it prior for depression.

Elaine -  it appears to be good for your liver,joints and sense of well being-what's not to like?..i do know that it is historically&medically popular in germany,but i can't cite any studys off the top of my head or outa my hat...
Goofydad..i am not privy to that info...but i would do just that if i could..oh, trees are fine,still planting too-fall is a great time for that;dormancy increases success rate expotentially..i am going great guns with local red&white oak and sugar maple-the sweet shining glory of the north country...where peace indeed prevails despite the internationally interesting times...

I don't know if it's OK to take during therapy, but there is good information and you can buy it at iherb.com  That and CVS are the cheapest places to get it that I have found.  CVS has 1/2 price, free shipping sales on it pretty often.  Good luck on your therapy.

SAMe:  I do not know what thi sis, and just tried googling it without any luck.  can someone let me know what it is, and if it is available in Canada?

My heptologist didn't mind my taking SAM-E. Its supposed to be good for the liver as well as depression.

I heard Sam e is very good for the liver and many other things. If you can afford it, go for it!

i used SAMe before,during and after trx...i do not believe your doctor would forbid this for you,but as forsee mentions:run it by yr doc...it is a well regarded supplemnt,widely used in germany and has helped me with joint pain,mood and lethargy-which can really hit you during trx....by the by,i did clear and am 1 yr SVR...be well and GOODLUCK

Hi, I take Sam-e sometimes, but it does make me a little speedy...many people like the results from it, and don't feel speedy, etc.....but you should run it by your own doc if youre taking it with treatment....please don't get discouraged if people don't reply right away, it could mean that they don't know much about what youre posting about, no experience with it, or don't want to touch controversial subjects like supplementing, but it's nothing personal....
