Back in the 1970s the media reported the story of a man who was arrested for having a Volkswagen full of apricot pits. As absurd as that sounds the FDA is still waging war against natural, God-given remedies and the people who promote them. The latest casualty is Jason Vale who is currently in federal prison for selling and promoting apricot pits on his website. Jason used apricot pits to successfully treat his own cancer.......

Why is B17, raw apricot seeds, and Laetrile banned in the USA by the Food and Drug Administration(FDA)?
Simple math...Pharmaceutical companies CAN’T PATENT IT, and if they can’t patent something, then they can’t make tens of billions of dollars a year from it. If they can’t make money off of something, then they certainly don’t want to at the least LOSE tens of billions a YEAR. Because 99.9 % of people, if they knew about these mother-nature-produced-products would no longer take the expensive drugs, chemotherapy, radiation, and have the cancer-related surgeries! I wonder how many millions of people are still drinking alcohol and taking tyenol for the hangover the next day and dont know they have HCV.A lethal combination.Shouldnt there be warning signs on the tynenol saying if you have hepatiis and drink ,this may cause severe liver damage?

Don't worry too much about it, Rocker. As a resident of Canada you do not have to rely on "our" US healthcare system. Furthermore, Krebs credentials, or rather lack thereof, are a matter of public record. As for Laetrile, it is of no use to people with cancer.

There is an awful lot of money and power playing in the US healthcare system stakes. Ernst T. Krebs, Jr.—Laetrile's "father"—has often been referred to as "Dr. Krebs" although he has no accredited doctoral degree. As you are Canadian, and not subject to the dictates of the FDA, this should not really cause you too much concern. Perhaps you could spend some of your copious free time examining and criticizing the Canadian healthcare system, as the restrictions in place in the US have no impact on your healthcare.
In one of his chronic outbursts against doctors, Mark Twain once complained that the "insane," monopolistic American medical system was "an infamous thing, a crime against a free man's right to choose his own assassin." Twain's fulmination is now being echoed by contemporary opponents of the medical establishment. Championing Laetrile, their painless apricot-pit panacea, they are insisting that Americans should be allowed a "freedom of choice" to pick their own cancer therapy.

Actually, Jason Vale is in prison for criminal contempt of court, after violating a federal court's injunction barring Vale and his company, Christian Bros. Contracting Corp. from distributing apricot seeds or making and distributing Laetrile or "Vitamin B-17". Although Vale signed the consent decree, he violated the injunction and a jury found him guilty of contempt. There is no evidence that Laetrile is an effective treatment or cure for cancer.
