I was in the Army from 72 to 74. There surely seems to be a pretty strong correlation between HCV and men who served during that time period, but not in earlier or later periods. I find it hard to buy the argument that more people then were into IV drug use then. I believe many soldiers got it from the innoculations or the gammaglobulin shots administered during training.
Anyway, to my thinking you are certainly entitled to TX from the VA, but I'm no lawyer. I'd sure like to see the government step up (and fess up) on this issue and treat vets right.
Anyone who was in the Marine Corps during Viet Nam should get whatever VA benefits there are. My way of thinking.
I don't recall it exactly, but I think there's a website named something like 'hcvets'. Perhaps googleize it....
