Who wants to plan the next Fl lunch?

I'm thinking about if someone else wants to pick the eating place this time.  Somebody suggested doing it on a Sun.  How about Dec. 2nd or Dec. 9th??   I don't have to make all these decisions.....I don't want to be stealing somebody else's fun-of planning a lunch.    There's a few of the FL. heppers who are getting together for camping on Veteran's Day weekend, in Ocala.   I'm not going to be able to do that one, but I can do a lunch date on those dates I listed above, if somebody wants to plan it.  I can travel to anywhere in the Orlando-Brevard County area, but South FL is not a good location for me.  I can go up to Ocala, because then, I'd just drive on up to my parent's place in Lake City after we finished our lunch.  So, somebody.........speak up.......

I see one on Florida Ave in Lakeland.. and the one in brandon.  There is not really anything but highway between them.

The 9th works for me., that's a Sun.     Dperry can you send me a physical street address of where the Bennigan's are between Lakeland and Brandon - which are right off the highway???   See what you can come up with, okay?       So, a 2 pm lunch on the Mar. 9th date, somewhere over in the Brandon/Lakeland vicinity.

I might be able to make the 9th, but not the 8th.  I will be driving back from the keys on the 8th.

The weekend would be fine for me.   I just am not familar with Lakeland to tell you where a Bennigans is at.  I have only been there to the Civic Center, and thats it.  

But if you know where one is .. I am sure we can mapquest it.

Dperry and all..., would it be better to have the lunch on a weekend?  That's what I'm thinking.  Because that way, A.) people that work would be more likely to have that day off and, B.) Less traffic for those of us who have to drive a big distance and we would be able to avoid the most traffic by doing it on a weekend.  What about the weekend before (the Sat. or Sun.) prior to the St. Patrick's weekend, which I would be referring to as March 8th or 9th.  Also, is there a Bennigan's that's closer to Lakeland, but still not that far from Brandon?    That would make it closer for those of us who are driving from the other side of the state and yet still closer to you.  I'm just trying to work it out for the best for everyone's driving distance.  Somewhere in Lakeland off of I-4???  I've driven to Lakeland numerous times for my Dr.'s appt.'s over there and it's a 2 hr (approx.) drive for me from Melb., when I take 192 over through St. Cloud, to my Dr.'s office.  That's a lot more convenient way for me to get to the southbound area of I-4 than driving North and then over west to Orlando and then, back down to south I-4, so that's the way I go.  Let me know what works out for everybody.      Susan

Ok.. we have a place, as long as everyone agrees.    We have Bennigens as the first choice.. And I believe I have a 20 % discount key chain somewhere.   I will look for it, or  will borrow one from a co-worker if I cannot find it.  

So we need to decide what day is better for everyone.    If we make it for around 2  - 230, the lunch crowd should be cleared out by then.    

I will just plan on an extended lunch or take a half day or something, so if some of you want to go to some shopping..

The location directly off of I-75 sounds the best to me.  Also, Bennegins sounds like a good idea since to me, as they have a variety of foods for everybody's different likes/dislikes and they're not too expensive.  Also, for a directionally impaired person(me), someplace right by the highway seems like it would be easier for me to locate.  Also, maybe a few of us from the Brevard County area could carpool it.  I'm thinking of if Mouse was up to it maybe I could drive and she could relax (since she's treating and all).  With gas being so high, if anyone wanted to tag along w/me they could, I get good gas mileage and whoever road w/me could just chip a little bit for the gas over and back.  I don't want to spend the night, so it would be a day trip for me.

errrrrr   I should have copied my reply .. they seem to go into never never land.  Most of my posts never get there.  After I have typed out this long reply.    By the time I realize it.  I don't feel like typing it again.  

So short..  of what I wrote.     Brandon is actually convenient as in close to major HWY..   I - 75 and Hwy 60.     There are a bunch of places right in that general vacinity.   Lets see.. Bennegins, Mo's SW Grill. Red Lobster, Olive Garden.  Don Pablos,  Macaroni Grill.   , smokey bones.  Buddy Freddy's.  Sam Seltzers Steakhouse.  And for the ladies who like to shop.. After lunch, you can work it off , walking thru the mall.   Which also has a food court , with everything you can think of .. But fast food of course.    

So if anyone else has any ideas...    Tarpon would be a good time too, but not near any majoy highway, so for those not knowing the area.  Its out of the way kind of travel.   Closest major Hwy is US 19..   and pray for all that drive that.. LOL  , has gotten better over the years though.

So anyway...  we are open for ideas.   chime in.. and lets get this going.

Okay, everybody, you've seen Andiamo's and Dperry's situation.  I'll drive over towards the west side, if somebody living over on that side does the planning, because I can't plan it if I'm not familiar w/what's up over there, you know?  I just need sometime during the 1st two weeks of the month (but not on either side of St. Patrick's Day, in other words, not on the 16, 17, or 18th because that is in conflict w/being in Lake City for my Mom's Birthday.  She's Irish and her B-day fall's on St. Pat's Day, isn't that neat?

My problem is that I have rented a condo in Naples for the month of February and that is out of the way for most everyone else.  Then I am spending a week in the keys at a friend's place before I come back up to the Tampa area for the second week of March.

So I am here until Feb 1 and then back for the second week in March.  Then, off to NY for the summer and all the post study visits (every two weeks) to make sure the drugs didn't do anything awful to me - LOL - as if I need a blood test to know that!

We need to consider who's in tx, rough shape to have them drive the least (I can get my son to drive me). As Eric has been thru a long, hard tx....send us some towns closer to you Eric.

(funny! I seem to have a problem with stalkers! Online and off! Had one from Brandon in @99. Looked like Jesus. Found my house, would leave toys for my kids outside, kept coming to my job, got into a private opening of a biz,WEIRD guy! Okay, maybe not Brandon! lol!)

I live in Brandon, and get an hour for lunch..     So that would be tough to do.. Unless everyone came here, and I doubt everyone wants to drive here for lunch.. LOL  


But maybe some weekend I can head towards tarpon and we could all go to Mr Savlakis for Lunch..

Hey girl how you feeling these days ?   I would like to say I would be there, but thats not a good time for me. Thats in the middle of the week.  I am on vacation the first week of March though.   Oh well maybe next time.   Someplace central for all..  I am feeling much better these days and could handle driving.

March 10, 11, or 12th???   I just need to know if I'm planning this,,,,????   Is anybody else up for the task?   Where to we want to meet at?  I'm familiar with much, but not all, of the Melbourne area as far as I-95, Wickham Rd., US1 and Babcock.  I'm familiar with Ocala as far as I-75.  It know a little bit about Titusville, Cocoa, Merritt Island.  I know where a few roads in Orlando are, but honestly, I have a tendency to get lost easy.  It is sort of an annoying issue for me..., I don't have a GPS in my car, but I sure need one.

You know, I was reading the newspaper this morning and lo and behold, I saw in the paper where they're opening a new restaurant in Indiatlantic that is an Italian restaurant, and get this, it is called:   Andiamo's!!    Is that not amazing, or what?

1st or 2nd week of March is fine for me, I could do the early part of the 2nd week.  Around the 15-18 I'm not available because I will have to be celebrating my Mom's birthday on the 17th (St. Patty's Day).

The first week of March would probably work best for me.  Does someone else want to plan it???  Anybody??    I can plan it, but I'm really only familiar with things around the Brevard County area, other than the few places I've stopped at in Ocala which are right on the I-75 Hwy.  I don't want to do any overnights though, just lunch.
