confidentiality FYI

I know nothing is confidential with the internet. But be warned if you google your user name, your info and forum comments come up.
Just thought I'd pass that on.

Yeah, I be here, asked about you last week and I didn’t respond back to you when you did post, sorry. Week 17 eh? If there’s a will there is a way and you defiantly got it. Hang tough, 7 more weeks to go and you’re done. Me, I’m doing fairly well at the moment, just a tad suspicious of why so but will get my latest blood work back in the coming week. Yeah, I am sure everyone likes their private comments and thoughts but its big brother at its finest but for me right now it does not matter. Hey, have you stopped losing weight? I sure hope so, I did and started to gain some back.

Have a good day!

You also might set up a separate email addresss just for the boards, so that the WWW doesn't have your regular one.

I have seen one of my earlier posts on Google search engine. Was lookiing up the 'disease' and up popped my post.  Not so sure i like that, not that there is  anything that we can do about it.  I didn't think about the email addresss getting around tho'.  Thanx for the tip.

Which is also a reason to be kind and cordial always.  : )

Jim is correct about the longevity of our posts.  They go onto servers even IF they were to get deleted on the boards.

I remember signing an online petition and finding may name, address etc on the net.  I care less than I used to but still kind of like my anonymity.

Another variation on the theme is to use different search engines or add keywords and you'll get different results.

Oh yeah, and the information you post stays for years and years, maybe forever.

This shouldn't be a surprise because almost everything in MH is picked up by Google. In fact if you google a doctor's name that someone posted here, you have a good chance of it coming up, complete with your comments. That's one reason I often use initials when referring to different doctors in public forums like these and never post my email address or any private information.

LAUGHING MY A$$ OFF!
i was going to freak out about all this (pardon my parent's slang - lol) ... hey, but what the hay?  Nothing is private nowadays. Thanks to the present ____ (fill in the blank) are rights are slowly but surely be stripped away.  Again, nothing is private...just my take.  I'm not asking anyone to buy into what I'm saying.  be well...

Yes, I'd tried this and in case anyone is interested the kcmike listed in the google search is not me!  Apparently that kcmike is posting on multiple forums.  But, I'm not going to change my handle here.

i'm not too worried about this because this user name is not the one i normally use for emails and stuff, but it's a good point.

C1 Katerika I was wondering if you weigh more than about 185 pounds. Your riba implies that you are in that range of weight. If so, or more, you might ask the doc if using if 150 mcg (rather than 120) is a more appropriate dose.oh my God you
