Definitely one of the most common side effects! I had my first treatment back in 2004 and there are a lot of things that I cannot remember that happened that year, it's completely lost to me.

Right now I am on week 16 of my second treatment, and I am back to that same situation. Watching Jeopardy is a major challenge, I have to pause the TV to think about the answer!!!! Even the most simple things are difficult to remember, but nothing to worry about.

Best of luck to you.

Yes, this is very common.
Make lists.
One guy on here said he had post-it notes stuck to him all the time.
Do what you need to do and remember, it won't last. Your memory and other faculties will return, its just for a relatively, short time.

At the beginning of trt the "brain fog" did seem to be settling in.  Trying to remember simple things seems to be more challenging, but short term memory didn't seem as bad.  Thinking on your toes and having spontaneous intellectual conversations was a task.  But it does seem to be getting a little easier.  I'm at week 16 and I'm not sure if the brain is just adapting the drugs, but my thoughts seem to be clearer and able to engage more in the complicated conversations.  Or maybe another part of the brain is helping, really no idea.  Each week can bring new challenges, so you never know whats around the corner.  If I start forgetting my name, I'll have to write it on the back of my hand;)

This seems to be very common, so you're not alone.  Trying to stay active if you feel up to it does help.  I'm able to continue working which has been good in many ways, too.   Hope this doesn't become an issue with you.

R I on tx? My doc told me that when I got ready to start tx don't expect to be able to do any multitasking or anything tedious.
