hair loss????

Not to be vain, and believe me, I'm sure that this will be low on my list of concerns once I actually begin tx, but I have to ask!!!!  Is it common to have hair loss in 24 wks of tx????  (One of the many things that runs through my mind now that this dx takes up SO much of my thoughts!)  Just wondering if I should break out the hats.  (I am so NOT a hat person!)

YEAH!  3 to go!!!!  Congrats!!!!!  So nice to hear the end is in sight!
I have spent YEARS keeping my hair LONG.  It is very straight and fairly thin anyway, so I only get a slight trim EVER.  
Oh, and speaking of vanity, I was actually looking forward to the weight loss part!  ;-)

I think in some ways it helps to focus on the vain or shallow side of things. SO much easier than the other things that I obsess over!!!!

Hi, week 21 (3 to go) and have thick, long hair, BUT it started really coming out past 3 weeks, had shedded before a bit too. Luckily, thus far still 'looks' okay, but I can tell I've lost at least a 1/3. I'm wondering if it'll stop soon as Peg stops  :{

And we all need to not worry about the 'vain' side of this. While it is, of course, the least concern in damage to our body, it still 'hurts', man or woman.

I'm mad over gaining on tx (only 5 lbs.) but what's the odd's of gaining,lol.
(think it's muscle gone to fat, as HAD musle before this:}

hair started coming coming back about 6 to 8 mths post tx, i too used nioxin products and the once missing hair is now about 3 inches long and red not gray.

I treated several years ago for 48 weeks.  My hair got thinner, but I don't remember how far into the Tx I was.  I used Nioxin hair products and they seemed to help You can order them online - not cheap, but I thought it was worth it.  My hair did grow back and it is curly!  Good luck to you.  S.

Hi and welcome, I finished 24 wks in july and I noticed my hair thining about 14 wks into tx. but family & friends said they couldn't tell any differance. I am now 6mo.post tx. and just found out this week that i am SRV. I was very lucky thru my tx. had very few sx. never needed any helper drugs . I never posted much because my sides were few. I was a geno 2 5mil. v.l. Hope your journey is easy , also drink plenty of water it helps very much with sx. Take care.
