It is natural for a spouse to feel this way.Help him get educated on your disease.Ive been married for a long time and we dont use condoms anymore-Never did!!!!And I can also remember times when I had to get stitches and bled all over my husband.Hope this helps.cindy

Not only would you have to be bleeding he would have to have have an open cut, or sore with his blood exposed as well.

i guess what I am asking is  Can my blood enter his penis or can he somehow get it through oral sex if in the unlikely event I should have a vaginal tear?

I have been recently diagnosed with hep c type 1. I have not yet had treatment. My husband wont have sex with me unless we use a condom AND EVEN THEN HE IS SCARED I tell him it has to be blood to blood contact. In other words i would have to have a tear or something bleeding as I no longer menstruate and he would have to have a way to get this blood into his blood stream. Can someone please clarify this for us. It is really a problem  Thanks

No hep C is NOT an STD..My husband and I have been together 23 yrsHe is clean... ,Just be careful about who touches your blood.Your blood has to get into the bloodstream of another....cindy

My wife and I have been together for 6 years and she doesnt have it.The chances are very very low dont let some doc or someone else fool you.In no way shape or form should this even be considered a STD
