we do need each other , Im a great advocate of posative attitude and speaking posative stuff but sometimes I need to be honest about how I am , Ive got an ulcer and it really hurts right where I drink , I feel like ive got poisoin running through my veins and Ive become quite depressed and lazy , I hardly even move off the couch some days but Im not going to beat myself up about it too much

thanks for your comments and do speak posative but also if you need a whine , I dont mind ,  go for it

Just dropping in to say hello and welcome.
This place is the best for support. I would have been so alone without these people during the last few years.

How's your hemoglobin doing have you been monitoring it - that can certainly add to the overall dreadful feeling of treatment HGB on your blood tests.

Bill - yeah the nerve of them right!  My boss has been away so this cat has had it pretty easy but that ends tomorrow.....

Hehehe, poor thing, Deb; I guess they must expect you to work or something. Pretty darn narrow minded of them, I’m telling you… :o)

I’m on dial-up so I haven’t even tried.

SOOOOOOOO annoying my firewall here at work won't let me listen to any of it.  Mark's links don't work and Dave's said streaming website blocked. They really have us by the shorties around here and i end up missing all the good stuff!~

Yeah, some days are a lot worse then others. Some days I feel really weak and sick and others my energy seems to relatively okay, it never like before tx of course and I am in a fog all the time.

Mark you play very nicely. I really enjoyed it.

Here are a few things I posted on on soundlick, Ithe saxes are live, all other instruments are me on keyboards. The mixing is not that great and the music is somewhat off the beaten track. If the link doesn't work I can email some mp3. When I play live I mostly play free jazz or bebop, but it's been a long time and I am very rusty. I don't have the wind for blowing on the horn during tx.

Please don't feel bad i've been finished with treatment for over three years and haven't played maybe ten times since then. I have no excuse at all except after work and cooking dinner and doing laundry I'm tired and just want to watch tv and lay around like a bum. That's pretty much all I did on treatment work and tv........so you are ahead of the grade for sure!  :)

I have a nice recording setup at home. Not professional, but pretty amazing what you can put together at home these days. I've got a mac pro and a decent weighted yamaha keyboard. I create a lot of music with the virtual libraries. I use a lot of east/west samples for that. I record the sax through a little apogee duet interface and a sure clip on mike. It sounds excellent. I haven't gigged for years and almost stopped playing until recently. You know how it goes, I had to take care of the family and music wasn't gonna do it!
Hope you are doing well,
Dave

I'm on Anti depressants and the only side effect that I noticed was weird dreams. There are a lot of different kinds out there. Some treat low serotonin and some treat low serotonin and norepinephrine, so you have to do some experimenting, unfortunately. For me, the ones that only treat the low serotonin made me sleepy, and the others didn't so that's what I'm taking. Mine is called Effexor XR. Works good for me.

The anti depressants may help. many of them take several weeks to build up to a therapeutic level, so you may want to talk to your doc sooner then later.

I am a sax player and keyboard player. I went to Berklee college of music in the mid 1970's. I haven't made any money playing music since I was in my twenties though. Are you supporting yourself with the music?
