making good for the soul & liver soup

making yellow dal soup w/ fresh Tumeric, butternut squash, sweet potato, garam masala, carrots & red potato,
I've got 20 more minutes to see what it tastes like,
My Tibetan doctor said the tumeric is very good for the liver, yellow dal is easy to digest, and the rest are high in antioxidants and cooling for the system. the cumin is OK during the winter and cardamon is also good.
Artichokes are good,
anyway, smells great.

Hey babs,
the pressure cooker was probably unnecessary but I love em, and I do like the mush, its a good idea to make some healthy food to get me through the week, when I'm tired or hungry at lunch I would love a big fat burrito w/ frijoles mixed w/ lard, but then my better sense takes hold and I have the healthy food to fill me up and make me feel good. trying to get into some good habits. Also trying to find ways to use Tumeric, the fresh Tumeric is very different tasting than the dried and is a beautiful color.
The same day I start my screening, I'm making polish perogis  for Christmas, they are fun,
and remind me of family.
best wishes

maybe the pressure cooker is unnecessary as all the ingredients would cook in under an hour in a non  pressure environment. shorter cook = more texture. i think the tropical fruits are as you say, according to your constitution and a yin yang thing. so much to learn from other cultures ...enjoy!

Well, my soup came out like mush, so thats what it is, and I like it, I think the orange color is probably something good for the bod.

I made a similar recipe for the soup and found it very tasty - and I'm not a huge squash or sweet spud fan. I also tried sweet potato fries over Thanksgiving baked in the oven with different spices - garam masal, cajun spice and one called Piri Piri. Not too bad...

Sure come on over, I made enough for a small army, I bought a pressure cooker and I'm having fun.
I dont mind the dairy and a little wont kill yah.  although my doc tells me to stay away from Mango, banana, not sure about Papaya, but it has to do with my constitution and the hepatitis combination.
I think apricots are good.
She also does Tibetan massage, creates an oil for your constitution, and uses points on the body.  I hope to get one of those someday.
If I weren't 61 I would learn how myself, but not the time to be starting a new career.
I'm onlya couple thousand miles from you it looks like.
