Infergen + FDA Approval

My question is simple, yet has ramifications for insurance coverage, etc.

Is daily Infergen, at 15mcg SQ, qd, an FDA approved treatment for *any* category of chronic HCV patients?

I was taking Infergen from 1998... my insurance (BCBS of FL) always covered it.

I believe it is. You can always check the PDR for the package insert. I have not heard of any insurance issues with Infergen.  Side effects are pretty rough, but if you are strong and motivated, you can do it. Good luck! DTD
