bleeding after running

iv currently have a hernia that pokes through the belly button I'm over weight so I'm on diet and going to the gym so after running and doing my wookout iv returned home gone to the loo and past a lot of blood which was bright red .
iv had this hernia for over 5 years and have been told to lose weight before they will operate .

Sorry it's been such a long time.  If you are still in need of advice I am going to need a little more information.
When you said you past a lot of blood were you talking about a bowel movement?  If so, it might be an anal fissure.  Which is a tear around the anus caused from any number of things believe it or not. (Large bowel movements)  It can be slow to heal. And once you have it, it never wants to heal.  Usually if it were from an abdominal problem say your hernia it would be a dark red almost black because it would be sitting in your intestinal tract for a while until you had to go, hence coagulating, and the color is way different.  Unless there was some type of trama to your intestinal tract from something you ate or not?
I know this because I have a hernia in the same spot,  I also had a fissure years ago that was treated with steroid cream. Like I said it can be very slow to heal.  If you are talking about something else and I'm way off let me know.  I hope I answered your question.  You should still see your doctor.
