Blisters From Shaving? Possible Herpes?

I'm posting for my girlfriend as she asked me to.  She has several larger sized blisters, larger then normal herpes "pimple" sized blisters running slightly inward and up the crevice of her thigh and pubic region. She is worried and believes it to be due to a bad razor, she said she used an old razor, and they appeared the day she shaved. However she is worried about the severity as any forms of Barbers Rash or Folliculitus we looked at didnt really fit the description. Although neither did any genital herpes pictures...the biggest thing we are worried about is the size and appearance of the blisters.  The effected area runs up the pubic/thigh region as stated, it looks inflamed almost as if scratched vertically. and there are several pale/grayish blisters the biggest ranging about the size of 3/4s of a top view of an eraser head, sorry  i'm having trouble comparing the size of the blisters to something well known.

she needs to go and be seen today. blisters aren't normal regardless of the cause and she needs a full and proper work up done.

have either of you had std testing before meeting and also herpes testing done?  it's typically not a part of routine std testing unless you specifically ask for it.
