Blood blister?

I suddenly noticed what looks like a blood blister on my cheek, this came randomly and has no pain however it is large.

Does anyone know what the cause could be? I've read it could be from biting but don't remember doing so, or other viruses, I am waiting on results for herpes tests, does this look anything like a symptom of that?
