Can HSV IGM test co-Reactive to Dengue

Hey guys, i got infected with dengue after 14 weeks of possible exposure from protected sex with CSW.

got tested at 17th week right after 1 week rest after hospitalization and was feeling fit.

got HSV 1/2 IGM positive (1.44) but IGG negative (0.5)

again tested on 18th week - This time a different test

HSV 1 igm - 0.08
HSV1 igg - 0.22

HSV 2 igm - <0.5
HSV 2 igg - 0.33

can i ignore the igm low positive?
can dengue infection delay seroconversion?

i have very mild symptoms... which a 30yr exp STD Specialist said is nothing to worry about...

please help

Hi Rahul what were your final results? Was it the dengue which caused igm positive?

You can disregard the igm results. They are a useless test and no hsv or std expert recommends them. They are unreliable and full of false positives. Do not have anymore igm tests. Stick with igg only.
Even the ultra conservative CDC recommends against igm testing for hsv.
