Can Herpes Give You A Fever Twice in One Week?

10 days ago I made out and had protected sex with a woman. 5 days later I had a fever, fatigue, and small painless blisters on my tongue. I quickly got over the fever (only lasted one day). I though everything was fine but now again today I am coming down with another fever. The blisters are still there.

Is this a case of tongue herpes? Can herpes cause a fever twice in the same week.

It should be noted that on the day before both fevers I spent a fair amount of time in the sun. Maybe it's something else then, but I know the sun can trigger herpes outbreaks. Also, what are these painless blisters on my tongue if not herpes?

Ok, fair enough.

Generally not, many people do not experience overall flu like symptoms with herpes. Symptoms are mainly concentrated on the infected area.

Your question is not relevant to a herpes diagnosis. You cannot work backwards from symptoms to herpes given the non uniqueness of most of the symptoms. Countless things cause fevers and herpes is not reliably one of them.

Ok, but that's not my question. I'm wondering if herpes fever/fatigue can reoccur in that short of a time period.

Forget wether or not "it's probably not herpes." Can herpes fever/fatigue reoccur a second time after only one week.

Herpes rarely causes tongue blisters alone. I'd suspect these are not related to herpes.
