Can you get herpes on butt after condom protected sex?

Has anyone ever got herpes on the buttocks after condom protected sex..no intial outbreak that i can remember..no flu syptoms no burning itching etc..just i keep getting red pimple like spots on both bum cheeks..scattered and few..no fluid inside. My last negative igg test was over 5 months after unprotected sex. Have only had protected sex twice since. Does this sound like herpes? I know i have git these before but seem a bit worse now. They resemble pimples more than blisters but just unsure.

Firm under the skin points more to acne or inflamed follicles. Hsv sores are ON the skin, not hard bumps.

Sounds simply like pimples or an ingrown hair. Doesn’t sound anything like HSB. If you’re worried about them, you can go to a clinic or an urgent care and have them looked at. They could always swab the bumps to check but it doesn’t sound problematic. And yes, even with a condom you can transmit the virus. Though the risk is much lower.

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately where I live there is no urgent care. There is one large gum sti clinic that you need an appointment which usually takes a week or even 2. Bumps are gone then.
Having read loads on hsv2 what is your oppinion on Dr hh statement that they only crop up on one side at a time and dont cross the midline? Is this true in your experience. Even to get the igg blood was hard here. I'd like to hope just pimples maybe even folliculitis but they are sore when pressure put on them..but didnt sting with pee over or anything. Ive become a bit std obsessed over the years so tend not to be taken too seriously when I do go as I have been alot.
It is my understanding that outbreaks tend to be more bilateral, sticking to one side. What you described sounds far more like pimples or follicles that are irritated. If they are firm to the touch, they would definitely point more towards cystic acne.
