Chance of this being herpes

Hello, I recently posted this in the herpes forums but then I remember I had another brief sexual encounter with a male the end of November  (24th to be exact) it was protected but I remember a brief moment were it wasn't who was a friend.  I ended up getting tested for STDs in December just to make sure and everything came back negative. In December (16th to be exact) I went out drinking that night and had way too much to drink and woke up with irritated skin in between my buttocks which cleared up in a matter of a couple days.  No other symptoms associated with that. Recently, I have been to urgent care, the ER, everything while waiting. I didn't even think the skin problem was anything. But recently, I developed what seemed to be a yeast infection, I was prescribed Diflucan and most symptoms to seem to subside (i originally had some cracked skin in between the lips like slightly above the clitoris). However, the day after I looked at my butt and the cracked skin/rawness came back. I'm just wondering if this could be related to herpes. There has never been anything remotely close to a lesion, bump, or blister.  Just the raw skin that burned a little on my butt, and then the one between my vaginal lips actually itched. Also, I remember the week before that I had headaches but I just chalked it up to pollen (I have terrible hayfever), and I remember a brief 5 minutes of having a burning sensation in my lower back (however, I had back surgery when I was 18 now 23). I see my gyno on May 15th but the anxiety is killing me (I am diagnosed with panic and anxiety disorder).

Also even if he did have HSV-2 what are my chances of exposure? I wish my gyno back in December would have tested me for this when I asked for everything but he didn't.

How many times would you say you see these symptoms and turns out it is nothing?

This is a test construction problem.  We see it often.  There are false positives on the combined test.  The ones you need to pay attention to are the separate IgG tests.

Hello, sorry I finally just went in to get results via my ob/gyn doctor. So all my other tests came back negative. But when they did the HSV the one that had the two combined came back high, but when they separated it to HSV-1 and HSV-2 they both came back negative. I told her my exposure was about 6 months ago, and she told me that there was really nothing to worry about, however, she didn't know why the combined would come back high but the two when separated both came back negative. She said if I wanted to we could test back at another 3 months. Have you ever seen this before? Just trying to figure out what it could mean. Thanks.

Sorry I'm posting one more time because the butt issue happened in December once after drinking way too much but I thought nothing of it, and then it occurred again recently when I took the diflucan and yeast cream (yeast cream was only applied to wear the original cut was between vaginal lips). This will be my last post until results just wanted to clarify.

It is possible that a large dose of steroids could trigger a herpes outbreak, yes.  but that was back in February, right?  And buttocks skin issue happened more recently, right?  The steroid injection effect would not last this long.

If the physician that saw you thought this didn't look anything like herpes, that is very important, right?  There is just no replacement for a good exam.  It also sounds like the proper testing was done.

Let's not post any more until you get the test results and then you can post them for me and I can help you with interpretation.

I have another question, in February I had a very bad viral or bacterial infection that had me hospitalized for a day. At this time I had a lot of antibiotics and steroids injected into me via IV as well as I was on steroids and a heavy dose of antibiotics for about two weeks after that.  Do you think if I had herpes the amount of steroids in my system would have triggered a herpes Outbreak? Or the fact that I was that sick would have triggered an outbreak? Or too hard to say?

Based on the limited research out there, excercise and std's may not be related. but if you keep the body healthy it will fight off diseases/viruses.

niacin can do the impossible. science will say theres nothing you can do to rid the body of thc because it stores in the fat cells. but i know for a fact that a niacin flush will do the "impossible".

so i think a person could test positive in a blood test for HSV-1 and/or HSV-2, spend a grueling month or two doing vigorous excercise and niacin flushing (as well as nutritional eating and rest) and then test negative for both HSV-1 and HSV-2.

I haven't found any testing like this done and question if it has ever even been done.

I talked to the guy last night for about an hour and he said he was comfortable with it beig unprotected because he knew he was definitely clean and then got tested again after our exposure. He had blood tests done.

The ER doctors swabbed, took blood, and urine. He told me it the scratch I had looked absolutely nothing like herpes and he couldn't even culture it he said. My symptom that actually worries me the most is the raw skin in between my buttcrack since that is recurrent. I wonder if this was herpes could one lesion heal, and then one long raw iritated area Appear (the one between my buttocks)? I mean the buttcrack problem didn't even art until after I took the diflucan. But when I google I somehow manage to link all my symptoms together with the worst possible outcomes

As long as you exercise, you won't have an STD???  What the heck?  Exercise and STDs are not mutually exclusive.  Also, Niacin has nothing to do with STDs.

For eekscared:  I'm glad you had testing done.  I think it is wise to put the herpes concern behind you or at least figure out if that should be a concern.  Let me know the results, OK?  When you were tested in the ER, was herpes testing done?  Swab test?  Blood antibody test?

I don't think you have herpes. i've personally been with about 20 prostitutes and have had severe itching of the anus/gooch area. i came back negative for all std's.

std's are more of a mental game. as long as you excercise you will not have std's. if you are concerned right now, there is something you can do:

buy niacin pills at any grocery store. make sure you don't get "flush free", because you want to flush your system. dont take too many right away because they are powerful. but they are a powerful detoxifier and, along with exercise, will rid your body of unwanted things.

Also in regards to the skin rawness, the first one in between the vaginal lips disappeared and then the butt issue appeared with the diflucan. Sorry I'm just trying to be descriptive as possible and I am paranoid so trying to cover all my bases.

I was tested for STDs back in December after the exposure, everything came back negative. I also just talked to the partner he was tested back in December and everything also came back negative. However, from what I gathered I doubt either one of us have been tested for herpes since it doesn't seem common to test. I see my gyno May 15th will be tested again and was tested also in the ER (on Sunday) but results haven't come back yet.

When you were tested for STD's, were you also tested for herpes at that time?

Sorry I wanted to add the next day I started my period I believe, so I'm not sure if there was any blood the night of possible exposure if that increases my chances.

I guess I should also note that this second episode is by far worse than the last one. But I'm clearly also much more stressed this time around, because I never even thought a some raw skin between my buttcheeks could be herpes.
