Chances of HSV in one time exposure

Two days back, I met a girl through internet and recently went to a bar with her. After some heavy drinking we checked into the hotel and had sex. I was not aware of her sexual status and this was not paid sex. During the act she kept insisting to turn the lights off to which I resisted. She was also covering her private parts by hand. I was wearing a condom right since the beginning of the act, however, while having sex I noticed she had 5-6 small "pimple like" eruptions around her genials (which was why probably she wanted the lights off). I stopped immediately and went for a wash, cleaned by penis and genital area with soap and water. I asked her the reasons and she said it was because of heat and sweat etc. I have a feeling it may be HSV but not sure. There were no openings to the soares but few were yellowish white in color. Given the circumstance that I had protected sex for the 2-4 mins duration and may have touched a sore, am I exposed to HSV or other STD? There was no oral sex and my penis never touched her genitals without a condom. Request your kind advise to handle the risk if there was any. Do you recommend any testing?

Thanks Mate. This clears some doubts. Its been a week so far but there has been nothing. I learnt from reading few articles that the transmission of the Herpes virus needs strong friction. Not sure how true it is but there was very little friction or excitement as the sex didnt pick up pace and did not last very long. Also, contact to the sore if any was mild touching but I understand from your response that this still could be minor risk. I chatted with the lady again and she said its not HSV. I wouldnt buy that and would rather wait for the period to see if testing is required.

This was a little bit of a risk for herpes.  When symptoms are present that could potentially be HSV it is best to avoid sex but I understand from your story that you had no real knowledge until later. The cleaning probbaly didn't do much because once the skin is broken and the virus is massaged in the soap and so forth isn't going to kill it down the nerves it travels.

On the other side this may not have been HSV.  Your partner should be tested to know her status and I think it is a reasonable request especially if you plan on seeing her again.  The bumps can be from anything a heat rash, yeast/bacterial infections.  So there isn't a way to really know without proper exam and testing.

I would be aware of any bumps that may show up.  Though if you have nothing in 2-20 days after the encounter I would say no need for testing.  But if you should get herpes symptoms (mainly lesions) be seen within 24-48hrs for a lesion culture.  If you want a blood test wait 12 weeks after the encounter and only get a type specific IgG test.  DO NOT get the IGM testing at all!  It doesn't show an early infection and has a high false positive rate.
