the scores vary over time, compared to the control it is run against. Very normal. You can either order a test kit from the University of Washington or our clinic can help you with that. Please look online for these resources. You certainly need clarification of your results.

It was hsv 1 and 2 specific ab igg test
On the paperwork just says igg type specific. I just don't get how I can be positive then negative.ive tried to get a western blot test but have been unsuccessful majority of the places I called to order it didn't even know what it was.
Any information on the biokit test?
And why would my second test be that much lower a month later ?
You are also being tested with a test I don't know at all. The range of numbers is way higher than the traditional tests used. Could you ask the lab that ran your test what is the brand?
If the cutoff is 1.1, which it is for the usual tests, and yours may not be that, then you are so close to negative, I would think you likely are having a false positive, if they call that positive?
If you want to know if you are actually infected with HSV 2, I would recommend a herpes western blot test for you which is done at the University of Washington only. You can obtain a kit from them for drawing with your own doctor or our clinic can order that for you.
How about if you contact the lab and find out the brand and I'll look at the normal ranges and try to help more.
