Coldsore and test results??

I believe I have a cold sore. I woke up today and had a pinkish circular spot on my lower lip in the corner. It doesn't look swollen but it feels slightly raised. It's not tingly that I feel. I tested negative for both types of HSV via IgG in April (3 months post exposure). My oral exposures were making out with 3 guys none of which had visual signs and I've also shared drinks with one friend (usually just a sip or so) and him with no visual signs.

My fear is that I did contract HSV1 and maybe that delayed my seroconversion for HSV2 making the 3 month mark inadequate. My genital exposures weren't high risk. There *may* have been brief unprotected contact with one guy Jan 1 2016. He had no visual signs and has no reason to think he has HSV (we discussed it). Then protected sex with someone who was a virgin before me maybe 5-8 times. How worried should I be? I'm pretty sure this has to be a coldsore since I can't think of anything else that causes very slightly raised pink spots on the lip and it's not a zit.

Hi Fleetwood,
So sorry to bother you, I just have one more question. The spot I described on my lip hasn't developed into a blister yet (knock on wood) and it's been there since yesterday morning. It's still a pink spot that's slightly raised on the corner of my lip. I believe it is too far on my lip to be a pimple because it's not on the edge really. It's only kind of tender occasionally if I press on it nothing else. Could this still be HSV1? I've been socking a TON of Abreva to it since yesterday so maybe that's why it hasn't changed?

Thank you!

They might be described as that, but progress within hours to little blistery sores most likely and maybe weep etc.

No real issues with your 3 month test, combined with no symptoms and low exposure risks, this confirms no infection.

No this does not sound like a herpes lesion.

You are worrying needlessly here. No issues with with herpes I suggest.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm just a little concerned, can coldsores start off as pink slightly raised areas on the lips in the earliest stage? It seems a little tender too if I press on it. If this were HSV1 would it have any bearing on my negative HSV 2 results or can I still trust those?
