did you have a therapist the last time you had anxiety issues? if so, give them a call and schedule an appointment.
you've irritated the heck out of your sensitive genital skin dear!!! You've done everything but throw the kitchen sink at it!! At this point, nothing more than a corn starch based body powder once or twice a day to the genital area to help absorb excess moisture and help cut down on friction.
I think I've developed a bad case of genitally focused anxiety. The redness and burning at the tip of my penis persist but the redness and pain comes and goes and changes. It also reduces when I take Xanax. I think it is because maybe I took so much Valtrex or because of the other "treatments for Herpes" that I seem addicted to. I put hydrogen peroxide, propolis, Gold Bond powder, and even oil of organo on my penis (not much OO though). I also take alot of Olive Leaf, Lysine, Monolaurin, Isatris and Astragulus. I'm fixated but you, an STD hotline person, 3 internists and two urologists (including negative blood work) don't think it's herpes. I can't shake the anxiety. Who treats for this type of consuming, expensive, and distracting anxiety? It's no surprise since I had a two year bout of hypochondria after 9-11 (I worked in the World Trade Center).
You are correct. Thank you for the strong advice.
your symptoms do not sound like herpes at all. no more antivirals at all either.
at this point, continue to follow up with the urologist as needed for your symptoms. should you get any obvious lesions, be seen promptly for a lesion culture and typing. otherwise you can follow up with a hsv2 igg 4 months after you last had sexual contact with this partner ( you've taken a lot of antivirals and are hsv1+ so wait the full 4 months ) and go from there.
really no reason to think that you contracted herpes from this partner. you should also consider a genitally focused anxiety as the cause of your symptoms since they never showed up until AFTER you heard that this partner has herpes correct?
