Could DHEA or Digestive enzymes alter a HSV test???

My client was in a 7 month long relationship, then found out her partner was cheating with various with women.  After she ended things with him, she went to her doctor for testing.  She has been taking DHEA - 150mgs and digestive enzymes - 1200 mgs daily at least 2 weeks prior taking the blood test.  The results indicated that the HSV 1 was high - 1.28, and HSV 2 was high - 4.51.  Could any of these supplements cause a higher/false-positive reading on both readings?

Thank you for your insight, however I will never suggest anything synthetic to any of my clients. The side effects aren't worth it, besides everything fake comes from something natural.  I do respect your position.  It just doesn't work with what I do.

Thanks again for your assistance.

we don't recommend lysine - it hardly is helpful at all.  I doubt we will see eye to eye on this from your occupation.   she will get much more effective control of hsv2  from acyclovir , especially if she has a partner to protect.  feel free to pay to post to Terri Warren , our herpes expert for more info.

Thanks for your insight Grace.  I have done quite a bit of research on the topic, I found that not only lysine the amino acid helps to suppress the virus, but DHEA, and Amylase - the carb enzyme.  I suggested she use these natural supplements to help keep outbreaks at bay.  I will suggest to her to wait the 4 months after her last encounter to hv another test taken.

Thanks again.

she is still under the 5.0 result range so if she wants to err on the side of caution, she can seek out a herpes WB blood test any time after 4 months after she had last had sex just to confirm her status and make sure she doesn't have a false positive. the odds of a false positive are lower in her range but they do still happen sometimes.

Yes, and her test was negative.  No, he did not share his results with her.
