Could this be herpes?

I am 28 years old female and had my first unprotected sex on a Saturday, but I knew my partner well enough to know he is clean. But being paranoid, I still went to the ObGYN on Monday to ask about my chances of being pregnant. She said it was slim (6th day since my period started), and there was no ejaculation. She still checked my vagina since it was my first time to go to an OB. Also note that my partner and I stupidly used baby oil which burned during sex, and we had to stop. Since the doctor inspected me, she didn't see anything unusual.

On Wednesday, I developed a very terribly itch on one side between my labia. I scratched it hard, with fingers and tissue paper. Thursday to Saturday, it became painful and looked like a flat sore, about 1.5cm radius. I checked myself on Sunday and now, two smaller sores developed in other areas.

I had a follow up check up with the OBGYN on Monday and she was surprised at the sores and said the one I scratched looked like a wound already. Blood was collected from me to test for herpes through IGG, but results will take a while.

Anyway, what are the chances that it could be STD/herpes? Or could scratching one side hard also affect other areas? Could this be an effect of baby oil?

I have another check up next Monday with the lab results, but they're all taking so long.

It's very hard to walk and sleep, and basically do anything. I could feel things going down there, not to mention I also developed external hemorroid making everything down there both painful and itchy.

If this was a recent infection it's to early for the bloodtest to be accurate. Igg bloodtests do not look for the virus itself. They look for antibodies you build to fight the virus. This takes time. Your Dr should've swabbed the sores and tested. I wish Dr's weren't so clueless about hsv and testing!!!
Did you receive oral sex as well? Hsv1 genital infections are possible as well. In fact more than half of new genital infections are hsv1.

Yes this was recent and yes I was given orals too. If it passed from the mouth, and since I made out with my partner, it could have passed unto my mouth too correct?

Could I ask for another labtest for this using swab?
It is possible to contract it in both locations but not very common.
If the lesions are still present you may have a chance at an accurate swab test. Can you get your pertner to do a blood test for hsv? That would help shed some light on the subject as well.
Is Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test a sort of swab test? I've been researching on the internet and there seems to be all kinds of swab tests.

Thank you very much.
Yes. Pcr is really the way to go
I got the results of my blood test earlier than expected.  Both IGM and IGG showed negative. Exposure was 9 days before these blood tests.

Now I know that the IGG is only accurate 3months and above, and that IGM should be forgotten since it's practically useless -- can these results still offer me hope?
Of course.
