Intra oral herpes as contagious??

My husband is currently having what we think is a intra oral OB. He was only mentioned it this morning but said it's been sore for a few days. My question is if he has kisses our children whilst he's having this OB is it as contagious as kissing with a
Coldsore (know they're the same virus but assuming with a coldsore being on the outside if you were kissed you'd be exposed to a lot more of the virus?) he's not as careful as me and doesn't see if as a big deal which is great but I always abstain from giving kisses if I suspect/feel anything. We are assuming this is ohsv1 and not Ohsv2.

Herpes is THE contagious uncurable stuff. You won't get read of it definetly. Once in your body the virus will NEVER go away. But I have something tht helps me get read of a crisis (mouth getting itchy, lips peeling then a spot appears). Put a semi garlic 4 to 5 times a day where the spot start to be vissible (change the garlic each time). In 24 hours there will be no trace whatsoever. I have herpes since my early teens and after 20 years of hell (herpes can ruin social life) I found relief with what I call a miracle cure (nothing worked before the garlic).

Do you know for sure is HSV1.  This he was tested for that.  Normally HSV1 in in the lips area and the face, inside of the mouth is rare.  Sometimes we bite the inner side of the mouth while sleeping and the infection is difficult to cure because is aways wet.  If you apply Hydrogen Peroxide in a qtips for 2 minute couple times a day, the infection will heal.  If that does not heal in that period of time I will suggest go to the doctor and get checked and also run a HSV1 test.
