Diagnosed with vaginal hsv 1, having some confusion about some symptoms

To whom this my concern,
I took a blood test and was recently diagnosed with hsv 1 in my vaginal area I was prescribe acyclovir to take when I had an outbreak. Th first one was some what mild and just involved a lot of itching in my vaginal and buttock area and a bump. The bump was located Berra the center of my vagina in between my inner lips. It was not filled with pus and it didn't hurt, it was just there. After I finished the first round of acyclovir, the itching mostly subsided and the bump shrank so I stopped paying attention to it.i assumed the outbreak was over, but  I sometimes still experienced some slight itching, does this mean the outbreak didn't actually end or is that normal? After all of this I began to have a thick white discharge and would still itch a little, Why is this? For some reason, I started my period a week early and for the first day it was just a mixture of a little blood and discharge, then the flow became normal and heavy, and now it is back to being lighter and being mixed with discharge. What could have caused this? I also felt that I may have been having another outbreak, but I wasn't completely sure if it was the early stage or if it was just itching from last time , so I refilled the prescription and began taking it just in case. Although I dint itch too much I noticed that the bump from before was still there, is there any particular reason for that? And should I just switch my prescription to a daily suppressive instead of taking a pill for when I feel and outbreak?

That really doesn't sound like an outbreak. More like yeast or bv. I would consult your gynecologist. Did they confirm your genital hsv1 with a swab test or are you assuming these symptoms are a genital infection because of your positive blood test? What blood test did you have?

I went to planned parenthood and all they have me was a blood test, and I'm not sure what type it was. There was no swab, when my results came back they just said that I tested negativene for the other stds and tested positive for hsv 1. They didn't give me many details
It very likely if you have hsv1 it's an old oral infection. Like I said your genital symptoms do not sound like hsv at all. Itching like you describe and discharge without lesions and very painful urination are not suggestive of an hsv outbreak.
