Differentiating between Pimple/Herpes

Is it very easy to differentiate between a pimple and genital herpes?

What is the common look of a herpes lesion?  Can they look like one pimple? Typical length of each?

I have read through the forum's and it looks like theres a lot of questions regarding how to differentiate between these two.  I was wondering if someone could make a easily readable list differentiating the two in all areas (length of appearance (from discovering it to seeing nothing), do they scab, appearance, pain, anything else).

Thank you in advance.

Yes these all sound like pimples.

If these are independent quite circular and very small then unlikely to be herpes, sounds like infected hair follicles.

They seem to be circular yes.  They are gone now (3 days or so to disappear).  The first one hang around a bit after with no pain, but i squeezed it and tiny pus came out with a hair in it.  So would that be pimple?

Thank you.  Is it possible for it to be a pimple if there is no pus?  Could it be I was just trying to pop it to early before pus had a chance to form?

I ask because, I had 2 circle looking pimple looking things on my pubic area.  I tried popping both of them.  The one had a very very very small amount of pus/clear fluid come out and the other not much at all came out.  But they were quite fresh pimple looking things.

I'll also add that one of these showed up just after i trimmed with an electric razor (not a blade).

Not always easy. To distinguish early on, I look for the following:
- clearly defined circle; pimple
- white pus; pimple
- no throbbing, but a sting feeling if pushed; pimple
- throbbing, radiating, concentrated slow tingle feeling on spot; cold sore
